<p>August 1, 2010 is almost here.</p>
<p>Do you know how YOU will make bank deposits in August?</p>
<p>Do you know specifically what you&#8217;ll do and how you&#8217;ll do<br />
it without even breaking much of a sweat?</p>
<p>If not, then reading this report is the most important<br />
thing you&#8217;ll do this month.</p>

Step One: Find Your Hot Topics<br />
For August 2010<br />
==============================</p>
<p>Markets are not static because they&#8217;re composed of<br />
people and people are emotional. Feelings and ideas<br />
change frequently.</p>
<p>Here are the basic steps for finding your hot topics<br />
for August:</p>
<p>a.  Scan through the first 3 pages of threads in<br />
at least 3 discussion forums.  Look for the topics<br />
being discussed the most.</p>
<p>b.  Scan the posts on 5 blogs you found when doing<br />
your market research in step one.  See what topics<br />
are getting the most comments.</p>
<p>c. Read the comments to see what people are saying.</p>
<p>d.  Read comments and posts on your own blog if<br />
you have one.</p>
<p>e.  Make a list of observations, notes and ideas as<br />
you&#8217;re doing this.</p>
<p>f.  Open your &#8220;Google Alerts&#8221; Gmail account.  See<br />
&#8220;i&#8221; in step one.</p>
<p>g.  See any hits or ideas you get from the Google<br />
alerts.</p>
<p>This sounds like a lot of steps.  But you&#8217;re simply<br />
looking to BLITZ through and find a few topics that<br />
LEAP out at you, or the closest thing to it.</p>

Step Two: Brainstorm Offer Ideas<br />
And Select One<br />
====================================</p>
<p>I&#8217;m not going to write a tutorial here on coming up<br />
with new product or ideas.</p>
<p>That&#8217;s a topic all by itself.</p>
<p>But the short version is to look to see what people<br />
are currently buying and come up with something similar<br />
to it.</p>
<p>Now, I&#8217;m NOT just talking about info products.  Anything<br />
you sell or promote is a new product to your customers<br />
if they haven&#8217;t heard about it.</p>
<p>I&#8217;m using the word OFFER because you don&#8217;t have to create<br />
a new product.  You can create a new OFFER for an existing<br />
product such as a new bonus, price, package, bundle or<br />
guarantee.</p>
<p>===============================<br />
Step Three: Produce The Offer<br />
===============================</p>
<p>a.  Bundle up existing products</p>
<p>You can create a new product just by bundling together<br />
2 or 3 items and giving the bundle a name.</p>
<p>b.  Swipe from old products</p>
<p>If you have products you&#8217;ve sold before that you can swipe<br />
from, you can speed up your progress.</p>
<p>c.  Borrow content</p>
<p>If you&#8217;re producing an info product, you may have a few<br />
friends willing to donate content to your new product.</p>
<p>I realize many of my customers are NOT in the info product<br />
business. But many are.</p>
<p>The point here is to find something NEW and fresh to  promote<br />
to your customers and potential customers for August.</p>
<p>What can you produce or package up in relatively short<br />
order and sell or promote?</p>
<p>If you&#8217;re in the info product business, then interview<br />
someone to crete your product, use my System I layed out<br />
in Produce/Promote, use the Product Dashboard method or<br />
just fire up Camtasia or Cam Studio and record a Power<br />
Point video or even a mind map video.</p>
<p>What&#8217;s USEFUL is to develop templates and formats you<br />
use over and over.</p>
<p>There&#8217;s power in routine because it buys you speed.</p>
<p>If you think you need longer than 3 hours to 1 day to<br />
create an info product, then you really need to learn<br />
more about this business.</p>
<p>You create a mindmap or Power Points.</p>
<p>You turn on your screen capture software.</p>
<p>You talk.</p>
<p>It won&#8217;t be a masterpiece. But if you&#8217;re selling it for<br />
$10, $17, $27 or $37, youre customers won&#8217;t expect War and<br />
Peace.</p>
<p>Later on, you can learn how to crank out higher value<br />
products. But start with whatever is DOABLE for you.<br />
report or ebook in a day, then do it.</p>
<p>If you like talking, your new product can be a WEBINAR.</p>
<p>Or, if you&#8217;re in a non-info product business, then think<br />
of what you CAN deliver that customers might eat up or<br />
buy.</p>
<p>Be creative.  Create a new package.  Call it a new name.<br />
You can just create a new OFFER for an existing product.<br />
That makes it new to your customer.</p>
<p>You can do a lot just by creating creative offers with<br />
different bonuses, guarantees, product elements and<br />
prices.</p>

Step Four: Plan Multiple Money<br />
Suction Devices<br />
==============================</p>
<p>There must be 50 ways for your customers to give you money &#8211;<br />
legally, morally and ethically.</p>
<p>All money is based on the exchange of value.  I ASSUME<br />
you&#8217;re always offering value in excess of what you charge.</p>
<p>Having said that, are you going to have upsells, one time<br />
offers, OTO&#8217;s?</p>
<p>If you don&#8217;t know these terms, hop over to my blog and<br />
you&#8217;ll see a list of newbie terms for beginners.</p>
<p>Will you have a One Time Offer?</p>
<p>Will you have upsells?</p>

Step Four: Create Your Promo<br />
==============================</p>
<p>Step four is fun.</p>
<p>That&#8217;s where you get to create your promo, whether it&#8217;s<br />
an email, video, sales letter or whatnot.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s always fun selling stuff.</p>
<p>Remember to pile on the value and the benefits until it<br />
greatly outweighs the money your customers are holding<br />
onto to.</p>
<p>Your job as a marketer is to make your stack of value<br />
weigh 10X more than your customer&#8217;s stack of money.</p>
<p>I prefer writing to doing video.  But some folks are having<br />
big breakthroughs by doing video sales pitches.  Whatever<br />
kind of pitch you CAN do and you LIKE to do is what you<br />
SHOULD do.</p>
<p>Audio, video or writing.</p>
<p>Pick one.</p>
<p>In the ideal world, you want to get your Promo down to<br />
TEMPLATES also. &#8220;Templatizing&#8221; is key.</p>

Step Four: Launch<br />
==================</p>
<p>a.  Send an email if you have a list</p>
<p>If you have a list, then you know the routine.</p>
<p>a.) Write subject line</p>
<p>b.) Write email</p>
<p>c.) Click send</p>
<p>b.  Blast it out to Twitter and Facebook</p>
<p>If you&#8217;re on Twitter and Facebook, blast your message<br />
out there.</p>
<p>c.  Promote it in your sig line</p>
<p>If you post in forums, change your signature line to<br />
the URL of your new promotion.</p>
<p>d.  Ad swap with friends</p>
<p>If you have friends who will just blast out the promo<br />
for you, that&#8217;s awesome.</p>
<p>If not, exchange emails for a freebie and sell your<br />
product ont he confirmation page.</p>

Step Five: Track<br />
==================</p>
<p>What was the open rate on your email?  How many clicks<br />
did you get?  How percent bought?  Did any affiliates<br />
promote for you?  What was your $ per visitor?  How<br />
did your upsell or OTO&#8217;s do?</p>
<p>Inquiring minds need to know.</p>
<p>=========================<br />
Step Six: Rinse &amp; Repeat<br />
=========================</p>
<p>So maybe your promotion worked for you.</p>
<p>Maybe it didn&#8217;t.</p>
<p>You want to LEARN every time you do this sequence.<br />
How can yo make it better?  How can you improve it.</p>

Step Seven: Overcome Overwhelm<br />
In 60 Minutes<br />
==================================</p>
<p>Now, I titled this report your 60 Minute Money Plan.</p>
<p>I&#8217;m NOT saying you can do all 7 steps in 60 minutes.</p>
<p>But what you can do, at least with practice, is blitz<br />
through forums and blogs, find your product idea,<br />
type out 10-15 Power Point slides or make a quick little<br />
mindmap.</p>
<p>Decide on your upsells or OTO&#8217;s.</p>
<p>Decide how you&#8217;ll promote it.</p>
<p>You can even make some quick bullet points for your<br />
sales letter or sales video.</p>
<p>You can get a catchy title for your product.</p>
<p>If you really focus on it, you can PLAN out a whole<br />
little Monthly Money Plan in 60 minutes &#8212; or less.</p>
<p>What I teach is a Monthly Money Plan.</p>
<p>Why?</p>
<p>Because you have bills monthly.  And it&#8217;s a practical,<br />
doable model you can implement without having to<br />
mortgage your house, care and kids to join a coaching<br />
program, not that there isn&#8217;t value in those.</p>
<p>Now, you can ADD ON recurring billing or continuity<br />
income, steady affiliate traffic, or many other<br />
modifications.</p>
<p>This system is EVERGREEN. It isn&#8217;t going to break<br />
anytime soon.</p>
<p>It works in recession or inflation.</p>
<p>It works in every country.</p>
<p>It works in every business.</p>
<p>1.  You find what&#8217;s in demand.</p>
<p>2.  You create attractive offers.</p>
<p>3.  You get the message out</p>
<p>People tell me they get &#8220;all confused&#8221; in this business.</p>
<p>Let me get rid of the smoke and mirrors for you.</p>
<p>You find people in the habit of buying stuff.</p>
<p>You create or find things they want to buy.</p>
<p>You give them really good reasons to buy from you.</p>
<p>Now, which part is confusing?</p>
<p>The part where you find people who buy stuff?</p>
<p>Or the part where you SELL it to &#8216;em?</p>
<p>This is what you need to know about this business.<br />
Get people on a list. Find out what they want.<br />

<p class="text">Raw, freaking speed.</p>
<p class="text">That&#8217;s what I want to talk to you about today.</p>
<p class="text">I got in this business before you probably ever heard the words &#8220;domain name&#8221; or &#8220;Internet marketing.&#8221;</p>
<p class="text">Back then, marketing consisted of 3 circles.  With circle one you compiled your list of email addresses.</p>
<p class="text">With circle two, you wrote your email message.</p>
<p class="text">With circle three, you clicked SEND.</p>
<p class="text">I submit to you that Internet marketing is the same today, although it&#8217;s dressed up with a lot of smoke and mirrors.</p>
<p class="text">See, let me splain somethin&#8217; to ya to use Texas talk.</p>
<p class="text">&#8216;Bout everybody else round takes what&#8217;s simple and makes it complicated so you gotta buy $2,000+ courses, workshops, coaching and all the rest.</p>
<p class="text">I actually love products so I enjoy those and think they have value.  But my style is to take the complex and make it SIMPLE:</p>
<p class="text">===============</p>
<p><strong>Step one:  Find people</strong></p>
<p>===============</p>
<p class="text">The first thing you have to do is find people who have money and the willingness to spend it and preferably the habit of doing so.</p>
<p class="text">Where do you find people?</p>
<p class="text">On web sites that you can run banner ads on or get affiliates to stick links on.</p>
<p class="text">On blogs that people read.</p>
<p class="text">On forums that people read.</p>
<p class="text">On other people&#8217;s email lists.</p>
<p class="text">On Facebook.</p>
<p class="text">On Twitter.</p>
<p class="text">To use a fishing analogy, you gotta find yourself a pond where the fish are.</p>
<p class="text">To use a shopping analogy, you gotta find a mall where there is foot traffic.</p>
<p class="text">Basically, though, you gotta find buyers and find out where they hang out at.</p>
<p class="text">Because you can stick out your fishing pole in places they don&#8217;t hang out at if you want to.</p>
<p class="text">But you won&#8217;t catch yourself many fish no matter how attractive your bait is.</p>
<p class="text">You could have the GREATEST retail store idea in the world. Put it in a mall that no one goes to.</p>
<p class="text">You won&#8217;t make a dime.</p>
<p class="text">I got one question for you:  Can you find people?</p>
<p class="text">If you can, you&#8217;re 33% the way there. You only got 2 more steps you gotta do.</p>
<p class="text">======================</p>
<p><strong>Step two:  Get the email address</strong></p>
<p>======================</p>
<p class="text">In the old days, you clicked a circle and you&#8217;d collect email addresses.</p>
<p class="text">I don&#8217;t recommend that nowadays.  Back in 1996 it was cool and fun.</p>
<p class="text">Today, you gotta be a tad more sophisticated about it.</p>
<p class="text">Thus, we go fishing.  We found the pond where the fish are.</p>
<p class="text">Now we put bait on our fishing pole to get the fish to bite.  Now, that isn&#8217;t the most &#8220;consumer-friendly&#8221; picture.</p>
<p class="text">So maybe the mall analogy is better.  You stick up a BIG sign in the story like Juciy Couture has that says &#8220;Eat Candy.&#8221;  And women see that sign, think that sounds good and they walk in the store.</p>
<p class="text">Or you put up a sign that says SALE!</p>
<p class="text">There&#8217;s a tested, proven advertising method that is evergreen and has stood the test of time.</p>
<p class="text">Anyway, you need BAIT that is attractive to the little fishies, NOT to you.</p>
<p class="text">Personally, I like California Rolls in Sushi.  I also like BBQ since I&#8217;m in Texas.</p>
<p class="text">Sushi on the end of a fishing pole won&#8217;t stay there long. And I doubt fish like rice.</p>
<p class="text">And unless you&#8217;re fishing in Texas, the BBQ won&#8217;t get you many fish.</p>
<p class="text">Fish like smelly, stinky bait.</p>
<p class="text">Weird.</p>
<p class="text">But apparently that&#8217;s what they like.  Not that I&#8217;ve fished more than twice in my life. I haven&#8217;t.  But I get the gist of the thing.</p>
<p class="text">Back to the formula:</p>
<p class="text">a.  Get bait your little fishies like</p>
<p class="text">b.  Get the email address</p>
<p class="text">My pal Jonathan Mizel TRADEMARKED the term &#8220;Name Squeeze&#8221;</p>
<p>back a long time ago, just so people wouldn&#8217;t forget who invented it.</p>
<p class="text">Smart guy. I shoulda done the same with many ideas I invented that are now commonly used by everyone.</p>
<p class="text">In any event, you get the email address using a squeeze page or email capture page.</p>
<p class="text">Here&#8217;s one I have:</p>

<p class="text">I&#8217;ve got ones that aren&#8217;t so fancy.  But that gives you the idea.</p>
<p class="text">Here&#8217;s the big secret:  If the little fishies don&#8217;t bite on your bait, there are THREE possibilities:</p>
<p class="text">One:  They don&#8217;t like your bait</p>
<p class="text">Two:  Your presentation of the bait is lacking</p>
<p class="text">Three:  You&#8217;re in a pond where they ain&#8217;t no fish!</p>
<p class="text">====================</p>
<p><strong>Step Three:  Extract The Cash</strong></p>
<p>====================</p>
<p class="text">This is where you extract the cash.  In other words you make sales of your own products or of affiliate products.</p>
<p class="text">Here&#8217;s where my fishing analogy goes ot pot and we switch over to the mall analogy.</p>
<p class="text">You&#8217;re walking down the mall, you see the sign:  &#8220;SALE&#8221;</p>
<p class="text">You took the BAIT.</p>
<p class="text">You walk in the store.</p>
<p class="text">Now it&#8217;s the SALES PERSON&#8217;s job to take the money that is in your wallet or purse and to get you to willingly transfer those funds to their sales register.</p>
<p class="text">Now, you probably aren&#8217;t going to do that without getting something in return.</p>
<p class="text">And the something you get in return better be something you really want or such an irresistible deal you couldn&#8217;t turn it down.</p>
<p class="text">Either that, or the sales person flirted with you and told you those shoes made you look 10 years younger or the shirt really makes you look handsome!</p>
<p class="text">In any event, there&#8217;s somethin&#8217; you want there.</p>
<p class="text">There&#8217;s somebody that applies a little salesmanship and charm to ya.</p>
<p class="text">There&#8217;s a deadline &#8217;cause it IS a sale after all. And it&#8217;s ending Sunday night.</p>
<p class="text">So you whip out the wallet or dig in your purse, find that almost maxed out credit card and plop it down.  Or, if you&#8217;ve been using my advice on trading products for dollars, you actually HAVE dollars so you plunk those suckers down on the register table.</p>
<p class="text">Then you stroll out with a smile on your face and bright, shiny bag with the store&#8217;s name plastered all over it.</p>
<p class="text">You wear the shoes or the shirt, your friends all rave about how you really DO look 10 years younger. You feel good about your purchase and all is well.</p>
<p class="text">Later, you get a postcard, email or phone call telling you you&#8217;re invited to a special &#8220;before hours&#8221; VIP Sneak Preview event.</p>
<p class="text">Me?  I&#8217;m a VIP?  Really?</p>
<p class="text">Man, you beeline it down there again and before you know it, you&#8217;re walking out with another big ol&#8217; sack of stuck that removes wrinkles, makes you look and feel younger, and gosh knows what else.</p>
<p class="text">Like did you know there&#8217;s this little 1-minute miracle device that you run on those dark circles under the eyes and it makes &#8216;em VANISH in 1 minute?</p>
<p class="text">Yeah, it&#8217;s only $250!</p>
<p class="text">Plus the recurring purchases of the gooey stuff that makes your wrinkles vanish.</p>
<p class="text">But the girl who sells it is really so attractive and charming and doesn&#8217;t have ANY wrinkles, so you&#8217;re really sure it MUST work!</p>
<p class="text">And if you&#8217;re a guy and about to THROW UP over the shopping analogy, I&#8217;ll put it to you in terms a guy can understand.</p>
<p class="text">Step three is where you got the fish and you&#8217;re GRILLING that sucker at home gettin&#8217; ready to fork it over onto your plate.</p>
<p class="text">That&#8217;s the guy version.</p>
<p class="text">Because I figure you&#8217;re too modest to admit you bought the 1-minute wrinkle remover from the smoking hot, charming, thin, youthful girl who really does think you&#8217;re the funniest guy or gal she&#8217;s ever met!</p>
<p class="text">===================================</p>
<p><strong>The World&#8217;s Fastest Marketing Method &#8212; Revealed!</strong></p>
<p>===================================</p>
<p class="text">&#8220;Marlon, that sounds kinda good.  But is it really the world&#8217;s FASTEST method?  It don&#8217;t sound FAST enough and easy enough for me!!&#8221;</p>
<p class="text">Alright.  I was holding out on ya.</p>
<p class="text">The FASTEST part comes from the &#8220;Find People&#8221; step.</p>
<p class="text">What you do is you find people who ALREADY have lists of people who are known buyers.</p>
<p class="text">You give these people a reason to send YOUR bait to THEIR list &#8217;cause you are gonna SPLIT the spoils with &#8216;em, invite &#8216;em over to your fish fry, and get the smoking hot youthful girl to run the gooey wrinkle removing stuff on their under-eye dark circles.</p>
<p class="text">What&#8217;s more, you might have OTHER creative incentives for &#8216;em. Like you&#8217;ll track their buyers and send &#8216;em MORE money if they fork over their dough for even more stuff.</p>
<p class="text">Of course, they don&#8217;t know you&#8217;re getting a kickback on the $250 miracle eye fixer machine they too bought when they got sucked into that deal.</p>
<p class="text">Anyway, the world&#8217;s fastest marketing method is to have other people who have email lists to promote your stuff.</p>
<p class="text">And if you don&#8217;t know HOW to get &#8216;em to promote your stuff, that&#8217;s the secret sauce.</p>
<p class="text">I reckon it&#8217;s also my BAIT to get you to join the Ateam, which is where I reveal all my best secrets.</p>
<p class="text">In any event, it IS the world&#8217;s fastest marketing method.  It happens at the speed of email.</p>
<p class="text">I will give you one little tidbit here.  My pal Jason &#8220;The Prodigy&#8221; Fladlien recently produced over 30 brandable reports for his affiliates and tells me they are a big hit.</p>
<p class="text">Jason crushed it by doing $120,000 in June to celebrate the birth of his daughter.   Congratulations Jason.  Guys and gals, a few years ago Jason was a HOUSE PAINTER makin&#8217; 10 freaking dollars an hour!</p>
<p class="text">So don&#8217;t give me this crap about how it&#8217;s all a dream and b.s.</p>
<p class="text">When someone like Jason emails his list for me, the money flows in almost INSTANTLY.  Or when I sent an email to my list for my pal James Jones from Micronichefinder.com and sold his product to raise money for his favorite charity, the sales were instant and I sent him the money the next day via Paypal.</p>
<p class="text">===========================</p>
<p><strong>Ex 5th Grade Teacher Snares $100,000</strong></p>
<p><strong> </strong><strong>From a 1,000 Person List</strong></p>

<p class="text">Recently, Connie Green sold several of my Round Tables and collected two very nice Paypal chunks of cash from me.</p>
<p class="text">Connie made $100,000 from only a 1,000 person list!  And for much of that year, her list was only 500 people.</p>
<p class="text">Connie writes a new article every day and submits it to the article directories. That&#8217;s one of her big list-building secrets that anyone can do who isn&#8217;t a vegetable.</p>

<p class="text">Her articles send people to an email capture page.</p>
<p class="text">Three:  She extracts cash</p>
<p class="text">In Connie&#8217;s case, she did a lot of teleseminars to sell her own webinars and higher end affiliate products.</p>
<p class="text">Connie&#8217;s slogan is:  If I can do it, you can do it!</p>
<p class="text">I mean, come on folks. Connie was a 5th grade teacher and had ZERO marketing skills coming into this.</p>
<p class="text">It&#8217;s NOT like she was some rocket scientist or something.</p>
<p class="text">All you do is follow the 3-step formula I laid out above.  Except on</p>
<p>step number 3, the extract CASH part, you use AFFILIATE PRODUCTS to extract the cash instead of your own.</p>
<p class="text">You can extract the cash via:</p>
<p class="text">a.  Posts on your blog</p>
<p>b.  Videos on your blog</p>
<p>c.  Posts and videos on Facebook</p>
<p>d.  Twitter messages</p>
<p>e.  Sales letters</p>
<p>f.  Webinars</p>
<p>g.  Teleseminars</p>
<p>h.  Video sales letters</p>
<p>i.  Podcasts</p>
<p>j.  Audio sales letters</p>
<p class="text">Really, there are many ways to extract the cash.  Find ONE that works for you.  Connie Green specializes in teleseminars. And uses those to</p>

<p class="text">Like me, she does 6 week webinars. But she&#8217;s smarter than I am. She</p>
<p>gets paid for what HERS are worth &#8212; $1,000!  And they&#8217;re worth every</p>

<p class="text">When I started in direct marketing, I was broker than broke. I ate minute thirty second State Fair microwave corn dogs and steamed broccoli.  I once bought deodorant with all pennies.</p>
<p class="text">I took a model on a date that smoked like a bomb and the guys in the valet parking laughed at me when I wheeled up&#8230;until the 6 foot tall model got out on the other side!</p>
<p class="text">I was in sales, I was a freelancer writer, I was a magician when I was young.  I didn&#8217;t have some amazing background or something.</p>
<p class="text">And yeah, I started with NO LIST just like you&#8217;re probably starting with no list.</p>
<p class="text">I remember what it was like the first time the money started rolling in in huge waves &#8212; up to $7,000 a DAY! The feeling was absolutely intoxicating.</p>
<p class="text">Overnight, you pay off credit card bills, debts and buy new clothes.</p>
<p class="text">A huge, massive weight is lifted off your shoulders. And for the first year, you take it a little slow not knowing for sure if it&#8217;ll last. But it does&#8230;.as long as you built on rock, not quickstand.</p>

<p class="style17">C. Main Article: The Monthly Product Marketing Model</p>
<p>Falls Under ATTACK</p>

<p class="text">My <em>Monthly Product Marketing Model</em> is under siege. I&#8217;m NOT making this up. I&#8217;m NOT exagerrating.</p>
<p class="text">Just start watching emails, blog posts and sales letters for references to the Monthly Product Marketing Model or Product Of The Month model.</p>
<p class="text">It&#8217;s being attacke in the realm of ideas by other marketers. And you&#8217;re on the jury so YOU get to decide.</p>
<p class="text">Here&#8217;s the thing:</p>
<p class="text">You either are already sucking money out of pages on the web &#8212; or you want to. You want the fabled Internet lifestyle. And thus you know that you need sales to generate the money it takes to live the lifestyle.</p>
<p class="text">In order to  do that, you need a model of how you&#8217;re going to bring in money to support your lifestyle.</p>
<p class="text">Hardly anyone understands <a href="http:/www.thewritersecret.com">Writer&#8217;s Secret</a> because of the name I chose for it. I&#8217;ll probably rename it shortly.</p>
<p class="text"><em>Writer&#8217;s Secret</em> is REALLY about a marketing model. And I call that model &#8220;the monthly product marketing model.&#8221; And it&#8217;s about a marketing model with this simple premise:</p>
<p class="style20">Create and launch a new product each month.</p>
<p class="text">That&#8217;s what the model says.</p>
<p class="text">I misnamed Writer&#8217;s Secret to some degree for different reasons. But it&#8217;s REALLY about a marketing model.</p>
<p class="text">And lately that marketing model has been under attack. I&#8217;ve seen a NUMBER of other marketers reference the monthly product marketing model with different barbs, references and attacks:</p>
<p class="style16">1. You need to do continuity and recurring billing as your primary offer, NOT a product of the month.</p>
<p class="text">One of my friends recently wrote about continuity vs. the monthly product model. He advocates a continuity model vs. a monthly product model.</p>
<p class="text">I don&#8217;t disagree at all with the value of continuity and recurring billing. You could look at a membership site as a product-of-the-month with guaranteed, locked-in buyers (the subscribers).</p>
<p class="text">But I prefer to look at it as the back end. If you&#8217;ve read Amazing Formula, you already know the terminology: You have the front end of the business (your initial sales to customers).</p>
<p class="text">Then you have the &#8220;back end&#8221; which is your follow up sales.</p>
<p class="text">You CAN have continuity as your primary front-end product. The new FTC rules in the U.S. make this confusing for a lot of us marketers. It isn&#8217;t real clear yet what the laws are or how they&#8217;ll be interpreted.</p>
<p class="text">To sell continuity (a monthly membership site or recurring billing), you need to have a low-priced offer like $1 to $5. And lots of bonuses.</p>
<p class="text">The Monthly Product Model does NOT keep you from having continuity or recurring billing. Here are the problems with contiuity-as-front-end:</p>
<p class="text">a. After a period of time, the concept of the membership site is no longer new and the enthusiasm wanes for affiliates to promote it as a front end.</p>
<p class="text">b. This results in the need to rename the membership site which causes confusion.</p>
<p class="text">c. In the U.S. the FTC has created confusing laws that may or may not cause issues with promoting a low-priced trial offer with many bonuses as an incentive for buying.</p>
<p class="style16">2.   The Product Launch Model is where the real money, real fast is at.</p>
<p class="text">I can&#8217;t argue with speed with which a product launch as the potential to bring in a great deal of money.</p>
<p class="text">If you can pull it off, it&#8217;s like winning a Trifecta at the races. But what are the odds. I LOVE Jeff Walker. Super, super nice and bright marketer. But with all due respect to Jeff and his marketing model, I feel that in the world of ideas, it&#8217;s fair to discuss the model:</p>
<p class="text">a. If you don&#8217;t have a great record with your merchant, you can get your account frozen when a whole lot of money hits your account all at once.</p>
<p class="text">b. Do you have the support staff to handle a massive influx of orders?</p>
<p class="text">c. Oftentimes, they money that comes in all at once was set up by doing reciprocal emails for all the joint venture partners for six months before. So what goes off in a one-week time period was actually worked on for six months.</p>
<p class="text">So legitmately, it&#8217;s often more like the six month marketing launch model.</p>
<p class="text">d. It takes a great deal of time and work to appear to effortlessley pull off a large launch.</p>
<p class="text">e. Gross does NOT equal net.</p>
<p class="text">Some very large launches that appeared to be mega hits are reputed to have a lost a considerable amount of money.</p>
<p class="text">Your merchant account will hold a portion of the money back for six months but you have to pay affiliates now and you have to pay out refunds now.</p>
<p class="text">Again, I love Jeff Walker. And his products are top notch as well as his ideas. But the product launch model, while it can bring in mind spinning amount of money seemingly overnight, also has the drawbacks listed above.</p>
<p class="text">The monthly product marketing model does NOT have any of the above drawbacks and brings in steady sales, which is the objective.</p>
<p class="style16">3. The Pure Affiliate Model</p>
<p class="text">The   pure affiliate model says to promote ONLY affiliate products and don&#8217;t bother creating your own. The money is in the list, not in the products.</p>
<p class="text">My experience is that the BEST  way to build your list is to have your own products and recruit your own affiliates.</p>
<p class="text">A lot of affiliate models are built off of leeching off of big launches by competing on Google to get organic listings for the names of the product.</p>
<p class="text">If you don&#8217;t get those listings coinciding with the launch or if the launch flops, then your income can take a big hit that month.</p>
<p class="text">Having said that, if you build a list, you can always promote affiliate products to your list.</p>
<p class="style16">4. The PLR Model</p>
<p class="text">The PLR model says don&#8217;t create your own products. It&#8217;s too hard and takes too much time. Just promote PLR products.</p>
<p class="text">In the past I never promote PLR at all. PLR stands for private label rights. The problems with promoting PLR products are as follows:</p>
<p class="text">a. You have no protection against someone else selling the product for really, really cheap, thus resulting in refunds to you from disgruntled customers.</p>
<p class="text">You can offset this by creating your own bonuses and also repackaging the PLR with a different title and graphics.</p>
<p class="text">b. It&#8217;s hard to find quality PLR products</p>
<p class="text">It isn&#8217;t like there&#8217;s an endless supply of high quality products.</p>
<p class="text">c. The product does NOTHING to build your OWN name and brand unless you rewrite it.</p>
<p class="text">You can edit or add to the product to offset this.</p>
<p class="text">d. The product usually doesn&#8217;t have a value proposition.</p>
<p class="text"><span class="style17"><strong>If you&#8217;re in my new <a href="http://www.marlonsanders.com/roundtable/">ROUND TABLE</a></strong></span>, you&#8217;re going to find out all about Value Propositions and why they&#8217;re the foundation of your entire business.</p>
<p class="text">You can counteract this by re-writing the sales letter and the product.</p>
<p class="text">e. By the time you re-write the sales letter and they product, you probably could have created your own product.</p>
<p class="text">Having said that, recently I&#8217;ve promoted several PLR products I felt served my customers well. I wouldn&#8217;t want to do it all the time. But on select products on occasion, I do see the value.</p>
<p class="style21">A $250,000 Car Bought Using The Montly Product Marketing Model?</p>
<p class="text">So last weekend at Pat&#8217;s Unseminar, I got to make contact again with Joe Vitale which is always a pleasure.</p>
<p class="text">If there were a &#8220;Poster Boy&#8221; for the Monthly Product Marketing Model it might be Joe Vitale. While I&#8217;m not saying he produces a new product every month, he&#8217;s an absolutely prolific writer and promoter.</p>
<p class="text">He has written I believe 48 books (maybe it&#8217;s more).</p>
<p class="text">Actually, Joe promoted bookstore books and there&#8217;s a big advantage I see in that twist because it builds your reputation in a way that ebooks sold online doesn&#8217;t.</p>
<p class="text">As a result of publishing so many books, Joe began being viewed with credibility greater than the average marketer. This resulted in him being featured in the movie <em>The Secret</em> and many other movies.</p>
<p class="text">Joe is nothing if not prolific.</p>
<p class="text">Anyway, Joe recenlty bought a $250,000 car called a Spyker. There areo only 30 of them in the U.S. Amazing car!</p>
<p class="text">Joe publishes and promotes new books as his front end. He does a lot of public speaking to generate leads, which is to an extent manual labor. But Joe loves it.</p>
<p class="text">He promotes his front-end books via a lot of online promotion to his email list and via joint ventures and affiliates as well as sometimes hiring a publicity firm.</p>
<p class="text">His back-end product is called Miracles Coaching and is sold and delivered by an outsourced company as I understand it. I&#8217;m sometimes against this but the company is in Austin which isn&#8217;t far from Joe.</p>
<p class="text">And he can easily go there in person and train the coaches. Not a bad deal at all.</p>
<p class="text">Joe doesn&#8217;t do huge product launches, although he does sometimes put together a pretty good push for a book.</p>
<p class="text">He does have a monthly membership for this Gold Hypnotic Persuasion club or whatever he calls it.</p>

<p class="text">I like the video on that site. Don&#8217;t know who did it. But with a little work or outsourcing, there&#8217;s no reason you couldn&#8217;t have a similar video.</p>
<p class="text">Here are my points about Joe Vitale:</p>
